Mrs. Alice V. West
Mrs. Alice Victoria West, 86years old, widow of Charles West, formerly
of South side, died last evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
Harry L. Kirkpatrick, 729 Jackson street, after an illness of about
four years.
Mrs. West was born in South Easton and was a daughter of the late
Mr. and Mrs. William Glessner. Her entire life was spent in Easton
and she had many friends here. Her husband, who was foreman of the
air brake department, Lehigh Valley Shops, died 30 years ago.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Harry L. Kirkpatrick, with
whom she resided, and Mrs. Ellen E. Diehl, of this city, and one son,
Stanley F. West, foreman of the Lehigh Valley roundhouse at Lehighton.
She also leaves two brothers, Henry Glessner, of Penn Argyl and Leonard
Glessner, of the South Side, this city, and four grandchildren and
four great-grandchildren. Mrs. West was a member of the Second Methodist
Episcopal Chruch, South Side.
