Thomas F. Grube
Thomas F. Grube, 60, a well known Easton painter, of 28 North Warren Street, died at 6:30 on Sunday evening of paralysis at Mt. Holly, N.J. Mr. Grube and his two sons, Stanley and Warren, and Paul Stoneback, of this city left by motor on Sunday morning on a fishing trip to Barnegat Bay. On the return trip, when they neared Mt. Holly, Mr. Grube was stricken and his left side was affected. His death followed shortly afterwards.
Mr. Grube was a native of Easton and was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Grube, Early in life he learned the painter's trade and later engaged in business for himself. Altogether he worked at painting in Easton for about 40 years.
He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Anna Grube and two sons, Stanley and Warren, living at home; also by the following brothers and sisters: George Grube, of Philadelphia; Herman Grube of Allentown; Arthur Grube, of Utica, N.Y. Joseph Grube, Bethlehem, Dewey and Morris Grube, Williams Township; Mrs. Elizabeth Washeim, Wilson borough; Mrs. Leander Stem, Avona Heights; Mrs. Sadie Moser, Bucks county.
Mr. Grube served as a member of the Easton police force for several years, under Mayor B. Rush Field. |
