Native of Easton Fatally Injured
George W. Grube, 57 years old, a native of Easton, was almost instantly killed yesterday morning near his home on Chestnut street, near 55th Philadelphia, while crossing Chestnut street, when he was struck by an automobile operated by Charles W. Sonnefeld, 40, also of Philadelphia.
Sonnefeld took Grube to Misericordia Hospital, that city, where he died shortly after admittance. Sonnefeld said the rain blinded his vision.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Carrie Grube, seven brothers, Hebert, Allentown; Jacob, Watersville, Lehigh County; Harvey, Freemansburg, Wallace and Dewey, Morgan Hill; Arthur, Utica, N.Y. Joseph, Bethlehem; four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Washeim, this city, Mrs. Emma Lazar, Akron, O., Mrs. Sadie Moser, Ottsville; and Mrs. Gertrude Stem, 2455 Front Street, West Easton. |
