Mrs. Handelong Dies of Injuries
Mrs. Edith Handelong, 33 years Old, of 613 Centre Street, widow
of Clayton Handelong, died at 3:15 o'clock this morning in
Easton Hospital from injuries suffered last Friday night when
she was thrown from a motorcycle operated by Miss Mary Linsemeann,
of the Centre street address. The accident occurred near the
Lehigh Valley Railroad Station.
Mrs. Handelong was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Garis,
of the Centre street address. She was employed by the Cameron
Pump Division by the Ingersoll-Rand Company, Phillipsburg.
Her husband Clayton, died two years ago.
Surviving are her parents, two children; Clayton and Mildred,
at home; a sister, Mrs. Earl Strock, of Easton; three brothers;
Floyd and Russell Garis, of Easton, and Raymond Garis, Machinist
mate, second class in the U.S. Navy, stationed at New Orleans,
La.
She was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Reformed Church. |
