Paul M. Dinan, 86, of Palmer Township, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2011, in St. Lukes Hospice House.
Born on December 4, 1924, in Easton, he was a son of the late Edward F. Sr. and Margaret McNerney Dinan. He and his wife, the former Marcella Kelly, celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary on April 30, 2011.
Paul retired in 1984 from the U.S. Postal Service where he was a letter carrier for 30 years. Prior to that, he worked at General Analine & Film. He was a 1942 graduate of Phillipsburg Parochial High School .
He served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Idaho during World War II where he saw the flag raised at Iwo Jima and was in Toyko Bay during the Japenese Surrender.

Paul loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and fishing. He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church and had been a member of various area social clubs.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Marcella; he is survived by a son, **** and his wife ****, of Waynesburg, PA; two daughters, *****, of Lees Summit, MO and ***** and her husband ****, of Coopersburg, PA; a sister, Mary McDonough, of Easton; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by four brothers, Edward F. Jr., Joseph B., John P. and Thomas M. Dinan, and a sister, Margaret Stone.

Services: 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, in the Strunk Funeral Home, Inc., 2101 Northampton St. , Wilson Borough, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1 p.m., in St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church, 4049 Hartley Ave., Palmer Township. Call Tuesday, 6 to 7:30 p.m., in the funeral home. Burial will be in Northampton Memorial Shrine.
