John P. Dinan, 79, of Easton, died Friday, Oct. 26, in Easton Hospital. He was the husband of Elizabeth F. (Flynn) Dinan. They were married for 53 years in June.

He was a sheet metal worker for HT Lyons, Bethlehem, before retiring.

Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Edward F. and Margaret (Mclnerney) Dinan.

He was a member of St. Jane Frances De Chantal Catholic Church, Easton, and a member of its Holy Name Society.

He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving as a staff sergeant in India.

He was a former member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of Liberty Hose Fire Company, both of Easton.

He played football for the Southside Cubs after World War II.

Survivors: Wife; daughters, ***** of Nazareth, ***** of Bethlehem, ***** of Easton, *****of Flourtown, Montgomery County; brothers, Joseph of Easton, Paul of Palmer Township; sister, ***** of Palmer Township; five grandchildren.

Services: 9:30 a.m. Monday, Curran-Finegan Funeral Home, 1837 Washington Blvd., Wilson. Mass, 10 a.m. Monday in the church. Call 6-8 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.

Contributions: Alzheimer's Association, Philadelphia.
