Edward F. Dinan, 81, Retired Railroader
Edward Frances Dinan, Sr., 81, of 2536 Broad Street, Palmer Township, died today in the Eastwood Convalescent Home, Wilson, where he was a guest one month.
Mr. Dinan was a railroader for many years. he was supervisor with the Lehigh Valley Railroad until 1939, and a roadmaster with the Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad from 1939 until his retirement 16 years ago.
Born in Bear Creek, he was a son of the late Patrick and Sarah Pysher Dinan.
He was a resident of Easton 48 years and a member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church.
His wife the former Margaret McNerney, died in 1965.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Stone, Hackettstown, and *****, with whom he lived; five sons, Edward Jr., Joseph, Thomas and John, all of Easton, and Paul, Palmer Township; three sisters Mrs. Margaret Fleming and Miss Rose Dinan, Geneva, N.UY., and Mrs. Gertrude Lee, Lynchburg, Va.; a brother, Francis, Geneva, N.Y.; 20 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 9:15 am. Monday in the Curren Funeral Service Home, Wilson, followed by Requiem High Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church. |
