Elmer Deemer, Ex-Teacher in Williams Twp.
Elmer E. Deemer, 70, of Raubsville, a retired teacher, died
last night in Easton Hospital where he was admitted last Tuesday.
Born Feb. 11, 1898, in Wiliams Township, he was a son of the
late William and Emma Geisler Deemer. His wife was the former
Helen Rush, who died in 1958.
Mr. Deemer taught in Williams Township schools, 37 years,
retiring in 1960.
He was a member of Prosperity Lodge 567, F&AM, Riegelsville;
Royal Arch Chapter 173, Easton; Hugh de Payens Commandery 19,
Knights of Templar, Easton; Lehigh consistory, Allentown; Rajah
Temple, Reading; Easton Forest 35, Tall Cedars of Lebanon,
and St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Raubsville. He was on the board
of the Raubsville cemetery Association.
Survivors include two sons, Clarence, Raubsville, and Montford,
Hinesdale, Ill.; a brother George Beidelman, Raubsville, and
seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Shillinger Funeral
Home, Easton. |
