George D. Beidleman, 92, was Raubsvile postmaster
George D. Beidleman, 92, former Raubsville postmaster, died
early Wednesday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Irene
Macan, 218 N. Terry Road, Syracuse, N.Y.
Last employed as a clerk by the Pennsylvania Liquor Control
Board, he retired in 1968 after 15 years of service. Prevoiusly,
he and his wife, the former Sylvia Young, who died in 1977,
operated a grocery store in Raubsville, where he served as
postmaster for 20 years.
Born in Williams Township, he was a son of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Marcus Beidleman.
Mr. Beidleman was a member and fomer consistory member of
St. John's United Church of Christ, Williams Township. He was
also a member of Washington Camp No. 150, P.O.S. of A., Velley
Forge; Mantua Tribe No. 119, Improved Order of Redmen of New
Jersey, and the Easton Sertoma Club.
Surviving in addition to his daughter are a son, Ernest Y.
of Easton; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Robert W.
Snyder Funeral home, Riegelsville, Interment will be in St.
John's Union Cemetery, Williams Township |
