Alexander Harry Clifton
Alexander Harry Clifton, a former member of the Easton Fire
Department, having served as a member of Company 3, on College
Hill, died yesterday in his home, 420 Cattell Street, following
an illness of year with heart failure and dropsy. He was in
the 46th year of his age.
Mr. Clifton was twice married, both wives preceding him to
the grave. There survive six children - Mrs. Albert Wood, of
Lyndhurst, N.J.; Harry R. Clifton, of Hoboken, N.J.; John L.
Clifton, Arthur Willis Clifton and Misses Sarah Frances and
Florence Lethia Clifton. Three sisters, Mrs. Charles Gellock
and Mrs. Lethia McClellan, of Easton, and Mrs. Thomas K. Ferguson,
of Brooklyn, and one brother, LeRoy W. Clfiton, of Brooklyn,
also survive.
For several years past Mr. Clfiton served as chauffeur and
gardener for families on College Hill. Years ago he was also
employed as a motorman in New York City. |
