John Martin Brown
John Martin Brown died this morning at his home at Hecktown, of general
debility, aged 77 years. He was a retired farmer. Deceased was born
in Palmer township, a son of the late Mr and Mrs. Isaac Brown. He is
survived by his wife, and one son, Harvey Brown, of Bethlehem; by a
sister, Miss Polly Brown, of Philadelphia; and three brothers, Charles
Brown, of Chestnut Hill, near Easton; Edward Brown, of Seipsville and
Adam Brown of College Hill. He was a member of the Lutheran congregation
of the Hecktown Church. Funeral Tuesday at 10 a.m. from his late home,
followed by services at the Hecktown church and interment in the adjoining
cemetery.

Mrs. Clara Brown
Mrs. Clara Bown, widow of John M. Brown, died yesterday at her home,
1002 New Street Bethlehem, aged 78 years. She was born in Easton Allen
township, this county, and was a daughter of the late John and Antoinetta
Lawall Nolf. One son, Harvey Brown, survivors her with two brothers,
Alvin F. Nolf, of 241 Bushkill Street, this city and Samuel Nolf, of
Newark, NJ. the funeral will be held on Friday afternoon, with services
in Dryland church, Hecktown, and interment in Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Brown
was a member of the Lutheran congregation at Dryland church. Her husband
died ten years ago. |
