Luke, Florence May
Florence May Luke, 93, of Phillipsburg, passed away on Sunday,
October 23, 2005, in Warren Hospital.
Born: June 16, 1912
in Easton, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Clara
Steckel Benner.
Personal: Her husband, John A., died in
1953. She lived in Phillipsburg for 62 years. She was an
assembler at the American Can Co., formerly Bradley Sun Tube,
in Washington, for 16 years. She retired in 1975. She was a
volunteer at the Phillipsburg Nutrition Center. She enjoyed
traveling and playing bridge and pinochle with her friends.
Memberships: She attended the Montana United Methodist Church
in Harmony Township. She was a member of the Heckman House
Social Club, Phillipsburg Senior Center, and Sunny Seniors,
Phillipsburg.
Survivors: A daughter, Barbara A. Kober, and
her husband, William, of Harmony Township; a brother, Robert
Benner, of Easton; and a sister, Esther Wolbach, of Easton.
Four brothers, Charles, Earl, Russell and Ralph; and a
sister, Sadie Trimmer, died earlier.
Services: 11 a.m. Saturday
in the Rupell Funeral Home, 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg.
Call from 10 a.m. until time of service in the funeral
home. Burial will be in the Northampton Memorial Shrine,
Palmer Township. |
