Charles R. Benner, 83, of Williams Township, died Thursday
at home. He was the husband of Flora (Yeakel) Benner. They
were married 59 years last November.
Benner last worked as a bus driver for the Easton Area School
District. He previously worked at the former Lehigh Foundry,
West Easton, and Bethlehem Steel Corp.
Born in Williams Township, he was a son of the late Howard
and Claire (Steckel) Benner.
Survivors: Wife; son, daughters, brothers, Russell of Broadway,
N.J., Robert of Palmer Township and Ralph of Somerville, N.J.;
sisters, Sadie Trimmer in New Jersey, Florence Luke of Phillipsburg
and Esther Wolbach of Williams Township; five grandchildren
and nine great-grandchildren.
Services: 11 a.m. Monday, Strunk Funeral Home, Berwick Street
at Reynolds, Easton. Call 10-11 a.m. Monday.
