Lawrence J. Holland Sr.
Lawrence J. Holland Sr., 50, died last night at his home at Martin’s Creek. Mr. Holland was a veteran of World War I. ands was a member of Emlyn H. Evans Post, No. 378, American Legion, of Bangor. He also was a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church. Martin’s Creek, and the Lower Mt. Bethel Democratic Association. For the last 25 years he was employed as a watchman for the Lackawanna Railroad at Martin’s Creek and Bangor.
He is survived by two sons, Pfc. Vernon C. S., Holland airdrome squad, U. S. Army Air Forces in India and Lawrence J. Holland Jr., Seaman 1/c, serving in the Pacific.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m., at the Hutchison funeral home, Martin’s Creek and interment will be in Church Hill Cemetery.
