Walter Buzzard
Walter Buzzard, 79, of 432 S. Main St., Bangor, died today in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill, where he was admitted Thursday.
Born in Bangor, a son of the late Amos and Erminda Ackerman Buzzard, he had lived there all his life. He was a former member of the Bangor School Board.
Mr. Buzzard was employed 35 years as a master mechanic with the Kayser Hosiery Co., Bangor, until he retired 14 years ago. For the last year he worked at Deshler’s Machine Shop, Bangor. In his early life he worked at the S. Flory Manufacturing Co., Bangor.
Mr. Buzzard was a member of the First United Evangelical Church, Bangor and the Keystone class of the Sunday school. He was a former member of the Garden Club of Bangor.
Surviving are his widow, the former Carrie Elizabeth Bussenger; a daughter, Mrs. Vera Siddons, Broomall, and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Miller Funeral Home, Bangor.
