Young Dies of Injuries
Easton Truck Driver Was Hurt When Big Machine Upset
Wilmer Young, 33, of 913 Lehigh Street, driver of a truck of the Bushkill Products Company, of this city injured Saturday when his truck upset and burned near Tamaqua, died at 3:30 this morning in the Coaldale Hospital.
He lost control of his truck when it rounded a curve. It ran off the road, upset and burst into flames. Young managed to extricate himself and called for help. Highway workers nearby went to his assistance and took him to the hospital, where he expired.
Young is survived by his wife, Mrs. Beatrice Young; his mother, Mrs. John Young, of Wilson; six children: John, Frank, Dorothy, Dolores, Edith and George, all at home, and by these brothers and sisters, Frank and Claude Young, Mrs. Dorothy Rooker and Mrs. Margaret Ulmer.
He attended the First Baptist Church and was a member of the Brewery Workers Union. |
