Claude E. Young, 63, a watchman on the construction of the Bushkill St. Bridge approach, died yesterday morning shortly after collapsed on Washington St., near Maple.
Mr. Young, whose home is at 200 S. Fifth St., was taken to Easton Hospital, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Born in Easton, Feb. 14, 1888, he was a son of the late John and Rose Hahn Young. He was of the Lutheran faith. Mr. Young’s wife, May Bella Young, died in May of this year.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. James Rogers, of Palmer Township, and Mrs. Charles Volk, of Wilson; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a brother Frank, of Wilson and two sisters, Mrs. George Rooker, of Wilson and Mrs. Gerald Ulmer, of Riegelsville, Pa. |
