Paul A. Werkheiser, 75, of 3148 East Blvd., Bethlehem, formerly of Nazareth, died Saturday in Muhlenberg Hospital Center. He was the husband of Dorothy M. (Benn) Werkheiser. They observed their 52ndwedding anniversary in October.
Werkheiser worked in the Space and Missile Division of General Electric Co., Philadelphia, for 20 years until retiring in 1974. He worked on the first space rockets.
Born in Nazareth, he was a son of the late Stewart and Elsie (Johnson) Werkheiser.
Surviving with his widow are four daughters, Mrs. Shirley M. Rice of Coatesville, Chester County, *****., wife of ***** of West Chester, Chester County, *****, wife of ***** of Holland, Bucks County, and ***** of Bethlehem; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A daughter, Dorothy A. Lansing, died in 1981.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Wallace M. Long Funeral Home, 500 Linden St., Bethlehem. A calling hour will precede the services. |
