Stewart A. Walters
Stewart A. Walters, 66 years old, of 747 Grant Street, died
at 10:25 o’clock last night in Easton Hospital where
he was admitted on Feb. 2 for medical treatment. He had been
in failing health for five years.
Mr. Walters was a native of Hanover Township, Lehigh County
where he was born on Aug. 12, 1875, a son of the late Morris
and Maria Walters. He came to Easton when he was about two
years old. For many years he followed his occupation as carpenter
until the time of his recent illness.
Surviving him are his widow, Mrs. Florence Walters; five children,
Stewart A. Walters Jr., of Budd’s Lake, N.J.; Roy W.
Walters, of Bullshead, Staten Island; George F. Waters, of
Dallas, Tex.; Mrs. Robert Hartman, of Easton, and Emory Walters,
at home; also by four brothers, George, of Washington, D.C.
Frank of Easton; Harvey of Phillipsburg, and Lee, of Easton,
and four sisters, Mrs. George Carter, of Dunmore; Misses Minnie
and Zelda Walters, of Easton, and Mrs. Anah Sickel, of Providence,
R. Il.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Reformed
Church, Carpenters Union, Easton Branch 239,, and Henry Clay
Council, Jr. O. U. A. M., of Irvington, N.J. |
