Miss Minnie Walters, Ex-Practical Nurse
Miss Minnie E. Walters, 78 of 529 Northampton St., Easton,
died about 1:45 p.m. yesterday in the Mary Ellen Convalescent
Home, Hellertown, where she was a guest for the last six weeks.
Miss Walters was a retired practical nurse. She trained at
Bellevue Hospital School of Nursing, New York City, and practiced
in Providence and Pawtucket R. I. for about 20 years, until
1944 when she returned to the Easton Area. She was a member
of the nursing staff at Gracedale, Nazareth R.D1, from 1848
until she retired in 1953. She was born April 9, 1886, I Easton,
a daughter of the late Morris J. and Maria M. Gruver Walters.
She was of the United Church of Christ faith.
Miss Walters was a life member of Maple city Chapter 71, Order
of Easter Star, Ogdensburg, N.Y.
Surviving are a brother, Harvey W. H. Walters, Phillipsburg,
and two sisters, Miss Zelda Walters, Morristown, N.J., and
Anah W. Wife of Arthur A. Sickel, Providence, R.I. She also
leaves several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m Tuesday at the Strunk Funeral
Home, Easton. |
