Stewart Walter, Retired Easton Area Contractor
Stewart E. Walter, 89, died last night at the home of his son-in-law Raymond Parsels, Bangor R.D. 3, with who he resided.
Mr. Walter was a general building contractor in the Easton area. He retied in 1930.
Born in Forks Township, he was a son of the late
Quintus and Elizabeth Hoppel Walter. He was a resident of the Bangor R.D. area for the last five years. Before that he lived in Marshalls Creek and in the Easton Area.
He was the husband of the former Lizzie Grube.
Mr. Walter was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Easton.
Surviving, in addition to his widow and his daughter, are three sons, Russell, Gambrills, Mr.; Carl S., Easton, and Roy H., Middletown R.D., MD.; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was the last member of his family.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Swoyer Funeral Home, Pen Argyl. |
