Claude Unangst Sr., Formerly of Easton
Claude R. Unangst, 52, formerly of Easton, died of a heart
attack on Monday at his home, 555 Newark Ave., Elizabeth,
N.J.
Mr. Unangst was a reitred bus driver. He was employed in
that capacity by the Public Service Coordinated Transport,
Elizabeth, for 11 years, retiring two years ago when he became
ill.
Born in Easton, he was the son of the late Raymond and Jennie
Arthur Unangst. He lived in Easton about 28 years before
moving to Elizabeth. While here, he worked for Easton Sanitary
Milk Co., and the Yellow Cab Co.
Surviving are his widow; the former Evelyn Reynolds; a son,
Claude R. Jr., Elizabeth; four brothers, Bertrand and Harry,
both of Easton; Richard, Phoenix, Ariz., and Raymond, Columbia,
N.J., and two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Davis, Easton, and Mrs.
Margaret West, Elizabeth.
Services will be held tomorrow at 11 a.m. in the James J.
Higgans & Son Mortuary, 414 Westminister Ave., Elizabeth.
