Barry N. Sullivan Sr., 73, of Phillipsburg, died July 25 in
Warren Hospital, Phillipsburg. He was married to Bessie (Lyman)
Sullivan for 53 years last December.
He was an appointment staff representative for the United
Steelworkers of America before retiring in 1994. Previously,
he was a shop steward in the foundry division and a job evaluation
chairman for Ingersoll-Rand, Phillipsburg.
He was an Army veteran, serving as a paratrooper, and a member
of Bernadine May American Legion Post 457 and Veterans of Foreign
Wars Post 9308, both of Phillipsburg.
He was a member of the Alliance for Retired Americans, West
Easton Athletic Association, Safety First Fire Company, Easton,
and Keelersville Gun Club, Perkasie, and a past member of the
Order of Fleas, Easton.
Survivors: Wife; sons, ****of Finesville, N.J., **** of Riegelsville;
daughter, ***** of Alpha; sisters, Joan Strazewski of
Eldridge, Iowa, ***** of Kirksville, Mo.; six granddaughters,
two great- grandsons.
Services: noon Tuesday, Rush-Devlin Funeral Home, 42 Church
St., Bloomsbury, N.J. Call 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday.
