Mrs. Joseph Plumb
Mrs. Irma Plumb, 71, of 637 Walnut Ave., Easton, died at 4
p.m. yesterday in Easton Hospital, where she had been admitted
earlier in the day. She was the widow of Joseph Plumb, who
died Feb. 13, 1926.
Mrs. Plumb was born in Raubsville on July 10, 1886, a daughter
of the late Ernest and Mary Alice Fox Steckel. She lived all
her life in the Easton area.
Mrs. Plumb was employed by the Miracle Cleaners at Ferry Street
and Walnut Avenue for 12 years. She left that job in 1954.
At one time she was employed at the former Polyment Coil Co.
on Bushkill Drive.
She was a member of a Philadelphia Bible Class.
Surviving are a daughter, Miss Belva Plumb, at home; a sister,
Mrs. Charles Ziegenfuss, Easton, and a brother, Leslie Steckel,
Orland, Fla.
The funeral service will be 1 p.m. Friday from the Katinis
