H. Arlene Sykos, 81, formerly of Davis Street, Phillipsburg,
died Friday, Oct. 24, in the Easton Nursing Center. She was
the wife of Charles Sykos who died in 1990.
She had been a seamstress at PariStyle, formerly of Phillipsburg.
Born in Carpentersville, N.J., she was a daughter of the late
George and Rhoda (Reimel) Stamets.
She was a member of Old Greenwich Presbyterian Church, Greenwich
Township, N.J.
She was a member of Lincoln Fire Company auxiliary, Phillipsburg.
Survivors: Sons, daughter,
sisters, Grace Frederick of Bloomsbury, N.J., Gertrude Woolf
of Harmony Township, N.J., Claire Shappell of Stewartsville,
N.J., Barbara Cappelletti of Phillipsburg and Lois Zanks of
Hampton, Va.; brothers, George of Easton and Richard of Warren
Glen, N.J.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services: 10 a.m. Monday, Finegan Funeral Home, Phillipsburg.
