Bangor Physician Succumbs to Injuries Received in an accident
Dr. Joseph M. Shook, of Bangor, who was injured when his automobile ran into a trolley car at east Bangor last week, died at 1:45 o’clock this afternoon in the Easton Hospital, to which institution he was brought yesterday afternoon.
His condition was so serious when he reached the hospital that the surgeons died not operate on him. Dr. Shook was 41 years old.
Deceased is survived by his wife, and a son, George M. Shook, of Bangor; also by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reuben Shook, of Bangor, and a sister, Mrs. Wilson Steckel, of Bangor high School, and Baltimore university and Jefferson Medical College Philadelphia. He practiced at Effort, Portland, Nicholson, Pa., and for the past year at Bangor. He was a member of the Trinity Evangelical Church, Bangor. |
