Mrs. William Bryan, Formerly of Easton
Mrs. Florence Shimer Bryan, 77, formerly of Easton, died today in Mercersville, N.J. she was the widow of William W. Bryan. She was the widow of William W. Bryan
Born in Phillipsburg, she was a daughter of the late Joseph R. and Sallie Howell Shimer,. She resided in Easton from 1907 until the death of her husband in 1945. She last lived on Richmond Road, Forks Township.
Mrs. Bryan attended Phillipsburg public schools and was a graduate of Mount Holyoke College.
She was a member of First Methodist Church, Easton, and the charter member of the Penelope Club, Easton. She was also a member of the Easton High School PTA; the Woman’s Club of Easton, and George Taylor chapter, DAR, Easton.
Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Josephine Seibert, of Hopewell, N.J.; two sons, James E., of Newark, and William W., of Peoria, Ill, and six grandchildren.
Services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday at the Pittenger Funeral Home, Wilson. |
