Clifton R. Schwenk, CRR Ticket Agent for 40 years, Was 60
Clifton F. Schwenk, 60, a ticket agent for the Central Railroad
of new jersey for 40 years, died last night at his home,
912 Spring Garden street.
Mr. Schwenk was born in Phillipsburg, Feb 11, 1893, a son
fo Mrs. Nellie Clilfton Schwenk and the late Fred J. Schwenk.
He attended Phillipsburg public schools and was graduated
from the former Jones Business College, Easton.
He worked at the Easton Station of the railroad for 20
years and for the last 20 had been assigned to Broad Street
Station, Newark. He was an army veteran of World War I and
a member of Christ Lutheran Church.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, the former
May Louise Helwick; two children, Mrs. Robert Keiber and
John F. Schwent; a brother Paul, all of Easton, and three
grandchldren
