Mrs. J. Fred Schwenk
Mrs. Nellie B. Schwenk, 88, widow of J. Fred Schwenk, died
about 5 p.m. yesterday at the Barto Nursing Home, Portland.
She was a guest there since December 6.
Mrs. Schwenk resided with her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Clifton
F. Schwenk, of 1104 Wood St., Easton, before going to the
nursing home.
Born in Easton on April 8, 1871, she was a daughter of the
late Alan J. and Marie Mettler Clifton. Her husband died
in 1939.
She was of the Lutheran faith. She was a member of Easton
Chapter 214, Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are a son, Paul J. Paramount Calif; five grandchildren
and six great-grandchildren. A son, Clifton, died in 1953.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Heck
Memorial Home, Easton
