William Asher Schleicher, 87, formerly of Palmer Township and Nazareth,
died May 4 in Blough Health Care Center, Bethlehem. He was the husband
of the late Verna (Eberly) Schleicher.
He worked for Mack Printing, Easton, for 27 years before retiring.
Previously, he was employed by the U.S. Postal Service and Kraemer
Hosiery, Nazareth.
Born in Nazareth, he was a son of the late Asher and Orpha (Davidson)
Schleicher.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Nazareth.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was a member of Vigilance Hose Company No. 1, Nazareth.
Survivors: Son, daughters, brothers, sisters, seven
grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild.
Services: military, 11 a.m. Wednesday, Schmidt Funeral Home, 407 Belvidere
St., Nazareth. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Contributions: To the church or Visiting Nurse Association Hospice
at St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem.
