Stanley E. Schleicher, 73, of 40B Evergreen St., formerly of 145 N.
New St., both Nazareth, died Thursday in Easton Hospital. He was the
husband of ***** Schleicher. They observed their 47th wedding
anniversary in July.
He was a shipping and receiving clerk for Binney & Smith Inc.,
Forks Township, for 25 years before retiring in 1975. He previously
was a knitter at the former Kramer Hosiery Mills, Nazareth, for 23
years.
Born in Nazareth, he was a son of the late Asher and Orpha (Davidson)
Schleicher.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Nazareth.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Surviving with his widow are a son ; five brothers,
William and Harold, both of Palmer Township, Kenneth and Robert, both
of Nazareth, and John of Virginia Beach, Va., and 10 sisters, Mrs.
Clifford Butz, and Mrs. Harold Butz, Mrs. Raymond Neuner and Mrs. William
Mann, all of Nazareth, Mrs. Donald Ruhf of Ambler, Montgomery County,
Mrs. Robert Lloyd of Bethlehem, Mrs. Albert Bonney of Easton, Mrs.
Albert Andrew of Stroudsburg, Mrs. Earl Liberman of Lower Nazareth
Township and Mrs. Richard Decker of Upper Nazareth Township.
Military services will be at 11 a.m. Monday in the Schmidt Mortuary,
407 Belvidere St., Nazareth. Calling hours will be 7-8 p.m. Sunday
and 10-11 a.m. Monday.
