Herbert E. Sandt, Bank Director In Easton, Dies
Was Owner, President of Bag Service Co.; Retired in 1942
Herbert E. sandt, 83, of 533 Lafayette St., a director of the Lafayette Trust Co., died in his sleep during the night at his home.
Mr. Sandt was owner and president of the Bag Service Co., Easton,.
He retired 20 years ago.
Born in Easton, he was a son of the late Madison and Ella M. Jones Sandt.
Mr. Sandt was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Easton; Easton Ledge 52, F&AM; Leigh Consistory, Allentown; Rajah Temple, Reading, and the McKinley Club. He was active in the odd Fellows at one time. He was a member of Easton Rotary Club 46 years.
Surviving are his widow, the former Ella M. Hammann; three sons, James M. Easton; Albert H., Big Stone Gap, Va.; and Robert E. Chappaqua, N.Y.; a brother, Alfred P. Easton, and eight grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hagerty Colonial Home, Phillipsburg. |
