Easton Soldier Reported Killed in North Africa
Pfc. Reage Was With First Forces Sent There Last Fall
Pfc. James Daniel Reagan, Palmer Township, was killed in North
Africa, April 17, according to a telegram received this morning
from the War Department by his sisters, Mrs. Harry Konn, of
525 Oakwood Street, Palmer Township, and Mrs. Sydney Brown,
of 508 Greenwood street, also Palmer Township.
PVT. Reagen, who had been in the service since November, 1940,
was sent overseas last July, and for a time was stationed in
England, and then Scotland. He was with an infantry unit in
the first invasion troops to land in North Africa last fall.
Pvt. Reagan's family last week received a letter from him,
wirtten on April 16, the day before he met his death.
