Henry T. Raub Dies At Bethlehem
Henry T. Raub for 23 years chief engineer at the former
Bethlehem City Water Company's plant, died yesterday, at
Fountian Hill, aged 70 years. Death was due to cerebral
hemmorhages following a stroke of apoplexy three weeks
ago. Mr. Raub was born in Williams townhip on April 14,
1855, a son of the late Reuben and Susanna Mertz Raub.
He was a past master of Hellertown Lodge, F. and A. M.;
Ezra Chapter, No. 291, R. A. M. and Bethlehem council,
No. 508, F.P.A. there survive his widow, Emma, two sons;
Joseph, of Philadelphia; Harry of Bethlehem; one daughter,
Mrs. George S. Kuhns, of Bethlehem; one step son, Walter
A. Evans, of Scottdale; one grandson, and the following brothers
and sisters: Curtis (Quintus), of Gauff's Hill, Salisbury,
Township; Cyrus, of Philadelphia; Wilson, of Durham; Mrs.
Alavesta Ruth and Mrs. Sarah Schwab( Swope), of Hellertown,
and Mrs. Ida Adams, of Easton.
The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock
from his late residence, with services at the house. Interment
will be made in the family plot in Hellertown cemetery.
