Mrs. Beam, Mother of Washington Mayor, Was 74
Mrs. Anna L. Beam, of 11 State St., Washngton, N.J., died last night at her home after a long illness.
Mrs. Beam was the mother of Russell P. Beam, mayor of Washington.
Born in Washington, she was a daughter of the late Oron and Mary Elizabeth Weller Perry. She was a lifelong resident of Washington.
Her husband, Lester Beam, died in February 1963.
Mrs. Beam was a past matron of Washington Chapter 136, Order of Eastern Star, and member of Washington Presbyterian Church and Circle 2 of the UPW of the church.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Ford Funeral Home, Washington. |
