Mrs. James Rute
Mrs. Edith M. Rute, 76, formerly of 134 Northampton St., Easton,
died yesterday at Gracedale, Nazareth R.D. 1, where she was
a guest for the last three years. She was the widow of James
H.l Rute who died in 1948.
Mrs. Rute was born March 4, 1887, in Easton, a daughter of
the late Eugene and Mary Mutchler.
She was a ember of St. John's Lutehran Church, Easton, and
a member of the past president of the Easton Elks Auxiliary.
Surviving are a son, James H. Rute, Baldwin, N.Y., three grandchildren
and one great-grandchild.
The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Ashton
Funeral Home, Easton. |
