Tatamy Man Found Dead
Edwin Messinger Believed To Have Fallen From Wall
The lifeless body of Edwin Messinger, a well known resident
of Tatamy, was found shortly before 7 o'clock last night
lying between an automobile and a wagon near the wagon shed
of the Messinger Manufacturing Company, Tatamy, where he
was employed as a farmer. His skull was fractured and it
is believed that he fell from a wall early in the morning
as nothing had been seen of him all day. The body was discovered
by another employee of the company.
Mr. Messinger was 62 years old. He is survived by his widow,
Catherine; two sons and a daughter, William of Scranton and
George at home and Mrs. Clarence Young of Lower Mt. Bethel
township; two brothers, William and Allen Messinger of Easton
and a sister, Mrs. Uriah Martin, of Stockertown.
The funeral will be held from his home at 1:30 o'clock standard
time on Friday afternoon, followed by further services in
St. John's Lutheran Church, Tatamy, of which he was a member,
and interment in Forks cemetery. He was a member of the Jr.
