Allen Messinger
Allen Messinger, 83, of Allentown, retired house painter,
died last night in Allentown Hosptial. A native of Easton,
he had resided in the West for 39 years wehre he was a cow-hand,
and operated a grocery store.
He had resided in Kansas, Washington, Iowa, Nebraska and
Oklahoma, before returning to Easton. He moved to Allentown
about 15 years ago. His wife Mrs. Claire E. Messinger, died
last April.
Mr. Messinger is survived by three sons, Frank E. Messinger,
of Easton; Charles R. at home, and Floyd of Allentown; 15
grandhchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and a sister,
Mrs. Amanda Martin, of Stockertown.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in the Zimmerman
funeral home, Allentown, with interment in Grandview cemetery,
Allentown. |
