David McKee, 83, Was Former Easton Resident
David McKee, 83, formerly of Easton, a retired conductor of
the Boston & Maine Railroad, died yesterday morning at
the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Florence Eberly, of Craig,
Colo.
Born and raised in Easton, Mr. McKee was a son of the late
Richard and Mary Sloan McKee. He and his father established
and operated a butcher shop on West Berwick Street near Center
Street.
Mr. McKee moved to Methuen, Mass., about 50 years ago and
became employed by the railroad. He retired 10 years ago. After
his retirement he lived for a time with a son, the late Richard
McKee in New Hampshire. He resided with his granddaughter for
the last month.
On Jan. 19, Mr. McKee and his wife, the former Catherine Reeve,
observed their 60th wedding anniversary.
Surviving, besides his granddaughter and widow, are three
other grandchildren and five great grandchildren. A niece,
Mrs. Stanley Watters, resides in Palmer Township.
