Dr. John Lear
Dr. John Lear, 76, former pathologist at the Allentown Hospital and for eleven years instructor in biology at Muhlenberg College, died yesterday afternoon at his country home at Spring Creek, Lehigh County.
He was a native of Easton, a son of the late John and Catherine Sandt Lear. He attended Easton Academy, Keystone State Normal School and Lafayette College from which he was graduate in the class of 1884. He was graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1889.
He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Leland E. Smith, Allentown; a son, John C. Lear, Modesto, Cal; four grandchildren, and a brother, Charles Lear, Allentown, Floyd R. Lear, of Easton, is a nephew. |
