Eva B. Barber
Eva B. Barber, 92, of Williams Township, formerly of Asbury, N.J., passed away Thursday, September 6, 2007, in Hospice of the V.N.A. of St. Lukess, Bethlehem.
She was born April 3, 1915, in Phillipsburg, N.J. She lived in Williams Township for the the past five years. Before that, she lived in Asbury for 50 years.
Eve, at one time, worked at the State Theater, Easton. She also worked for a number of years at the former Ford Funiture Store, Washington, N.J.
She was the daughter of the late Osmon and Lizzi (Porter) Laubach.
She attended Calvary Community Church, Harmony, N.J., for many years. As a young woman, she was a professional horse rider. She rode for other people and also taught horseback riding. She was always an animal lover, and for many years, she owned a dog grooming business in Asbury. She attended Phillipsburg High School. Her husband of 63 years, Alexander Barney Barber, passed away on January 6, 2003.
Survivors: Brothers, ******and his wife ***** of Phillipsburg, ***** and his wife ***** of Harmony; sisters, ****** and her husband ***** of Harmony, ***** and her husband ***** of Easton; sister-in-law, Mary Laubach of Bloomsbury, N.J.; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including nephew, Richard OHay and his wife Eve of Pennbrooke Pines, Fla., great-niece, Jamie Boucher and her husband Claude, and their two sons, Jared and Gabriel, with whom she resided, and great-niece, Kim Zane and her husband Richard of Belvidere, N.J.
Services: Memorial, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rupell Funeral Home L.L.C., 465 Memorial Parkway, Phillipsburg. A visitation hour will be from 10 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday. Interment for her cremains will be in Fairmount Cemetery, Phillipsburg. Contributions: May be made to Equi-Librium, P.O. Box 305, Sciota, PA 18354, for its therapeutic horseback riding program.
