Clayton Laubach, Service Station Operator, Was 40
Clayton O. Laubach, 40, proprietor of the Laubach’s Atlantic Service, Seipsville, died unexpectedly yesterday afternoon at his home at 2364 Gruver Ave., Palmer Township. He had been receiving medical attention for some time.
Mr. Laubach operated the service station business at Nazareth Road and Park Avenue for 11 years. He formerly operated Laubach Snack Bar, adjacent to the service station.
He was born in Phillipsburg on April 4, 1920, a son of the late Osmun and Lizzie Porter Laubach. He attended Phillipsburg public schools and was graduated from Phillipsburg High School. He resided in Phillipsburg until seven years ago, when he moved to Palmer Township.
Mr. Laubach was a veteran of World War II. He served wit the 101st Airborne Division, participating in the Battle of the Bulge.
He was a member of the Palmer Township Moravian Church; Easton Lodge 152, F&AM; Easton Royal Arch Chapter 173; Hugh dePayen Commandery 19, Knights Templar, and Easton forest 35, Tall Cedars of Lebanon.
Surviving are his widow, the former Kathryn A. Travers; a son, *****. and a daughter ****., both at home; his stepmother, Mrs. Hazel Laubach, Harmony; two sisters, Mrs. Alex Barber, Asbury, and Mrs. Albert Fahl, Phillipsburg; two half-sisters, ****, Philipsburg, and *****, Wilson and five half-brothers, Kenneth Laubach, Stewartsville, Lawrence Laubach, Bloomsbury; ***** and ***** Laubach, both of Harmony, and Thomas Laubach, serving with the U. S. Air Force.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the Ashton Funeral Home, Easton. Masonic rites will be conducted by Easton Lodge 162 at 7:30 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
