C. R. Laros Dies: Retired Official of Lehigh Inc. Easton Native
Serve As Purchasing Agent for Many Years
Claude R. Laros Sr., 75, of 501 Reeder St., Easton, died yesterday
afternoon in the Eastwood Convalescent Home, Wilson wehre he
was a guest for two days.
He was a patient at Easton Hospital for a month before going
to the rest home. He had been in failing heath for six months.
Mr. Laros was purschasing agent of Lehigh Inc., West Easton,
from 1930 until his retirement in 1960. He was born March 22,
1886, in Easton, a son of the late Newman and Matilda Osterstock
Laros.
He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Farmersville;
Dallas Lodge 396, F&AM, Easton; the Lehigh Valley Club,
Allentown and the Lehigh Valley Purschaing Agents Association.
Surviving are his widow, the former Roxie March; one daughter,
Gwynth , wife of Norman E. Staats, Haddonfield, N. J.; son
son, Claude R. Laros Jr., at home; two sisters, Elsie, wife
of Warren Sweitzer, Palmer Townshp, and Mary, wife of Paul
Wagner, New York City and two brothers, Ralph Laros, Palmer
Township, and Harold Laros, Easton.
Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of
the family. |
