Mrs. Theodore Schafer
Mrs. Eva M. Schafer, 64, of 137 S. Liberty St., Nazareth, died
yesterday in St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She
was the wife of Theodore Shafer.
Born Dec. 24, 1899, in Farmersville, she was a daughter of
the late Daniel and Sara Kemmerer Knecht.
She was a member or St. John’s Lutheran Church, Nazareth;
the Hannah circle of the United Lutheran Church Women, and
was a teacher in the church bible school for 25 years. She
was treasurer of the Sons of Union Veterans Auxiliary, a member
of Ladies of the Golden Eagle No.10 of Nazareth, and the Muhlenberg
Medical Center Auxiliary.
Survivors include a son, Theodore K, of Doylestown; a brother,
Roy Knecht and a sister, Mrs. Irene Miller, both of Nazareth.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. John’s
Church. The Knecht Funeral Home, Nazareth is in charge of arrangements. |
