Marvi Kitchen, helped found emergency squad
Marvin L. Kitchen, 81, of 507 W. Wilkes-Barre St., Easton,
died Thursday in his home.
A school crossing guard the past 18 years, he last worked
in October. Before that, he was a watchman for the former Transogram
Toy
Co., easton; Harvel Plastics Inc., Forks Township, and for
the Easton Water Co. for 25 years.
Born June 5, 1902, in Easton, he was a son of the late William
G. and Ea Gertrude Bougher Kitchen.
A founding member of the Easton Emergency Squad, Mr. Kitchen
also was a member ofSt. Paul's Lutheran Church and Elks Lodge
121, both Easton; West Easton Fire Co. and West Easton AThletic
Association, and a life member of the Order of fleas, Easton.
His wife, the former Sadie M. Trumbower, died Feb. 2, 1967.
Survving are six daughters
three sons, a sister, Mrs. Lila Johnson, Palmer Township,
a brother Arthur of Easton; 22 greandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Two sons, William and Paul, preceded him in death.
Services will be ehld at 11 a.m. Monday in the Strunk Funeral
Home, easton. Interment will be in Hay's Cemetery, Easton. |
