Floyd Kitchen, 63, Retired Arera Butcher
Floyd R. Kitchen, 63, of 52 Colby Place, Phillipburg, died
yesterday at Warren Hospital where he had been admitted on
Tuesday.
Mr. Kitchen was a butcher and meat utter for the Acme Stores
in the Phillipsburg-Easton area for many years before retiring
in 1950 because of ill health.
Born in Easton on Dec 14, 1908. He was a son of the late William
and Gertrude Bougher Kitchen. He lived in Phillipsburg for
39 years.
He was a member ofthe Wesley United Methodist Church, Phillipsburg,
and the Amalgamated Meat Cutters Union of Philadelphia.
His wife, the former Hazel V. Kitchen, died in 1967.
He is survived by thee daughters, two brothers, Marvin and
Arthur, Easton; a sister, Mrs. Norman Johnson, Palmer Township,
and nine grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Rupell Funeral
Home, Phillipsburg, Interment will be in Phillipsburg Cemetery. |
