William Kiefer
William Kiefer, a well known resident of Nazareth, was found dead in bed at his home on Walnut Street, that place, on Sunday Morning. Apoplexy was the cause of his death. He was 74 years of age. He is survived by the following children: William Kiefer, Jr., and Augustus Kiefer of Nazareth; Mrs. Stewart Nicholas of Waston; Charles Kiefer of Charleston West Virginia, John Kiefer of Columbus Ohio, Floyd Kiefer of Sellersville, Bucks County, and two step children, Mrs. Amandus Stout of Nazareth and Harry Gross of Easton, also one brother Benjamin Kiefer of Allentown and three sisters, Mrs. Charles Miksch of Nazareth, and Mrs. Harriet Gruver and Mrs. Ella Hummer of Easton. Deceased was a member of the One Hundred and Fifty-third Regiment Pennsylvania Volunteers during the civil War.

William R. Kiefer, a well known resident of Nazareth was found ead in bed at his home on Walnut street, that place, on Sunday morning. Apoplexy was the cause of his death, and he was 74 years of age. He is survived by the following children; William Kiefer, Jr. and August Kiefer of Nazareth, Mrs. Stewart Nicholas of Easton, Charles Kiefer, of Charleston, West Virginia, John A. Kiefer of Columbus Ohio, Floyd Kiefer of Sellersville, Bucks County, and two step children - Mrs. Amandus Stout of Nazareth and Harry Gross of Easton; also one brother, Benjamin Kiefer of Allentown; and three sisters, Mrs. Charles iksch of Nazareth and Mrs. Harriet Gruver and Mrs. Ella Hummer of Easton.
Deceased was a member of the 153rd Regiment, Pennsylvania Volunteers, during the Civil War. For many years Mr. Kiefer was the proprietor, of a hotel in Nazareth. He was a member of Lafayette Post, No. 217, of the G. A. R.
The funeral ill be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. from the late home, with interment in the Moravian cemetery, Nazareth. |
