MRS. ROSE M. BATES
Mrs. Rose M. Bates, widow of the late John L. Bates, died of typhoid fever at 3:13 this morning at the
residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Simon P. Kieffer, 914 Ferry street, in the 29th year of her age. She
had been sick but a couple of weeks. Besides her parents the deceased is survived by two daughters, Grace Bates and Elsie Bates, and by the following brothers and sisters: Robert Kieffer, Simon P. Kieffer Jr.,
William H. Kieffer, Mrs. William B. Roberts, Mrs. Amos King and Miss Ida Kieffer, of this city, and Mrs.
Emma Bradley, of Boston. The deceased was a member of St. Mark's Reformed Church.
Rose M. (Kieffer) Bates and her husband, John L. Bates are buried in Section 2, plot 230, in Easton Heights Cemetery.

Mrs. Rosa M. Bates, widow of the late John L. Bates, of this city, died at 3:15 o’clock this morning at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Simon P. Kieffer, 914 Ferry Street, this city, after an illness of typhoid fever of two weeks duration. She would have been twenty-nine years old on the last day of this month. Besides her parents she is survived by two children, Grace and Elsie, and the following brothers and sisters; Mrs. Wiliam B. Roberts, Robert Kieffer, Simon Kieffer, Jr., William H. Kieffer, Mrs. Amos King and Miss Ida Kieffer, all of this city, and Mrs. Emma Bradley, of Bristol, pa. She was a member of St. mark’s Reformed church. The funeral will take place on Monday afternoon.
