Mrs. William Benn, 63, of Bangor R.D.
Mrs. Daisy Mae Benn, 63, of Bangor R.D. 3 died at 10:5 p.m. yesterday in Warren Hospital. She was hospitalized at 8 p.m.
Mrs. Benn was the widow of William Benn, Born in Williams Township, on Feb 8, 1898, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Annie Mae Kiefer.
She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Nazareth, and its Ladies Bible Class; War Mothers of Nazareth and the Ladies Auxiliary of Sandt's Eddy Fire Co.
Surviving are three sons, Donald, Nazareth R. D. 3;*****, Bangor R.D. 3; eight daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Werkheiser, Landsdowne; *****, Easton; Mrs. Betty Beers and******, both of Bangor R. D. 3; ******, Bethlehem R. D. 1; Mrs. Virginia Perine, Phillipsburg; ******, Nazareth; and *****, Pen Argyl; a brother, Arthur Kiefer, Paterson, N.J.; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Beers, Easton R. D. 2 and Mrs. Florence Bilder, Palmer Township; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A son William, was killed in action on the beach in Normandy on D-Day, June 6, 1944.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Knecht Funeral Home, Nazareth.
