Elmer Hutchison, 43, P'burg Masonic Official
Elmer N. Hutchison, 43, of 228 Fillmore St., Phillipsburg,
was dead on arrival this morning at Warren Hospital after
being stricken with an apparent heart attack at home.
He was born in Bloomsbury, June 11, 1929, a son of George
R. Hutchison of Phillipsburg and the late Martha Nixon Hutchison.
He lived in the Phillipsburg area all of his life.
Mr. Hutchison was a motor vehicle inspector for the state
of new Jersey working Flemington.
He previously was employed by the Walter Tire and Oil Co.,
Easton, and was maintenance superintendent at the Andover
Kent Building in Phillipsburg.
He was amember of St. John's Lutheran Chruch, Phillipsburg,
and a member of the church's building committee.
He was a patron of Delaware Chapter 50, Order of Easton
Star, and a member of the past matrons and past patrons Association
of New Jersey.
He was a member of and a past master and past secretary
of Bethlehem Lodge 140 F&Am.
Mr. Hutchison was president of the West Jersey Past Masters
and Warden Association, Warren County Forest 14 of the Rall
Cedars of Lebanon, the De Molay Commandery of Washinton and
the Royal Arch Chapter of Phillipsburg.
He graduated from Phillipsburg High School in 1946.
Surviving are his wife, the former Alice M. Fulper, at home;
one Son, Elmer N. Jr. Alpha; a daughter, Mrs. Barry Fretz,
Stewartsville; two brothers Frank, Freemansburg, and James
Harmony; one sister, Mrs. Thema Parvin, Phillipsburg, and
two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the
Rupell Funeral Home, Phillipsburg. Interment will be in Northampton
Shrine, Bethlehem Lodge 140 R &AM will hold services
Monday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home. |
